Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) are an important way of working with local people. There are 14 AAPs covering all areas across County Durham. Each AAP is made up of a forum and a board to identify and tackle issues in local communities and engage and consult communities on proposed changes. Supported by task and finish groups the AAPs address issues identified by the public at the forum events as well as through area wide consultation. Local priorities are determined through a voting system.
